Just wanted to mention that the new comic is up, and that I’m pretty proud of the artwork. Took me all day to work on it, but that was mainly because I was fighting laziness the entire time and the internet, which wanted to distract me at every turn. And then I had some hard drive space issues and had to clean some stuff up and restart a few times….you get the idea. I even somehow managed to spend a few hours on dinner just so I wouldn’t have to finish. Forcing yourself to stick to a release schedule is hard, and I respect all y’all who do the five days a week thing. *tip of the hat*

Blip.FM is My New Playground

Hey folks. New comic up, so check it out. In other news, I have a Blip.FM account now. It’s pretty much the replacement to the now defunct Muxtape that I’ve so desperately needed…kind of. If you’re following @darksydeavenger or @furriesabust on twitter, you’ll no doubt get barraged with tweets about the newest music I’ve added to my “blips.” This shit is the new crack. Pass it on.

Three Times A Week, Maybe

Hello, folks. Got some stuff to throw your way. First thing’s first: the update schedule. I’ve decided to stop being a lazy ass bastard and update my comic more. Thus, three times a week you’ll be able to get Hilarious Henry goodness. I hope, and pray, that I don’t putz out three comics in and go back to waiting months before updating. That said, I’m going to need some help from you, the audience I think I have.

I’d like you to check out the vote buttons on the right hand menu and vote for my comic every time you possibly can. The goal here is to get close to #1 and to develop a much larger audience base. You’re able to vote every 24 hours, so keep that in mind. What this will do is encourage me (see: force) me to update more and to deliver more Henry content to the world. This story arc is going to get interesting really fast, so more releases mean that the story can be told faster.

Also, if you check out the comic and like it, or even have something interesting to say about it, please post a comment. I like having a dialogue with my readers and will respond quickly when I see an e-mail saying I’ve got comments! So, talk to me, people!

Henry on WoW

So, I got bored one night a few months ago and decided to try out a little game called World of Warcraft. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. If you haven’t, it’s an insanely popular MMORPG (pronounced, me-mor-pah-gah) that has claimed the lives of countless millions of people. I made fun of the game for quite awhile, with countless others. But all that changed when I played the demo. Wasn’t bad at all, really. Definitely addicting, that’s for sure.

Now, the summer is over and I’m a level 32 rogue on the Executus server.

*sigh*

Well, yes, it would seem like the game is addicting after all. Anyway, that’s all. Didn’t have much more to say than that, other that I’ve written the scripts for comics 57 – 60 and will be working this weekend to create some kind of a backlog of comics to release. That is, if Chipotl (my rogue) will let me.

New Comic Up, And Upgrading Sux

First, I thought this newer version of wordpress was so awesome that it couldn’t help but let you upgrade in the dashboard. Guess I was wrong. Upgrading this thing makes me eight kinds of nervous, only because if I fuck something up, it will take a long time to fix. Second, the twitterfeed didn’t announce it but my new comic is up. It’s just a one page splash. Enjoy.

Still Working on Things

Still working on making the site look better. It’s been taking a little while and I’m discovering that all my previous coding for this site has been really really messy. I guess that’s what happens when you teach yourself web programming by updating the site: you notice rookie mistakes. Anyway, later this week I plan on making prominent links on the page for the two existing feeds for my comic so you can choose whichever one you want. When I moved the wordpress over to the root folder, it replaced my comic feed with the blog feed. Not much I can do about that other than link you back to the original feed. Don’t worry, though. None of this should have affected the feed if you already have it set up in a reader.

Some Changes

I’ve decided to implement the new style sheet and wordpress integration a week earlier than planned, and this was before I started drinking this evening. What this means, then, is that you’ll need to be patient as everything moves over to the new design and all the old css gets cleansed out. More as it developes, if you actually care. Do you?

The newest comic is up for your enjoyment. If you’re checking out the blog, be sure and look around and make sure everything works well. As far as I can tell, the only thing that’s amiss with this newer design is the footer and the wrap div doing their little thing. Alright. Well it’s time to call it a morning and get a couple of hours of sleep in before work. Someone shoot me, plz!

It’s All About Transitioning

Well, as the evening draws to a close and the morning begins, I stop to think about what I’m doing. Usually, when I get a lot of caffeine in my system, I take on projects. Normally, this wouldn’t be a bad thing, but I just so happened to take on the task of utilizing WordPress to become my comic site. I’ve been fighting this decision for some time, using my lack of php knowledge as an excuse to just keep my site coded by hand. Well, this summer I taught myself a lot more of the php scripting language, and as such, couldn’t use my tried and true excuse any longer.
